The Markdown text editor you know and love has a fresh new look.
As we continue to evolve and grow, we want to make sure that HackMD not only remains a powerful tool for your collaborative documentation needs but also feels fresh and modern. That’s why we’re excited to announce visual updates, including a revamped color scheme, an improved Share menu, and the introduction of a native dark mode.
Dark mode enabled
We heard your requests and are delighted to bring you a native dark mode. Now, not only can you experience dark mode in your text editor, but you also can enable it for View and Both modes. Simply click on the brush icon (🖌️) in the upper right-hand of your note and select dark mode.
Whether you prefer a darker interface for its sleek look or its practicality, this addition is sure to enhance your HackMD experience.
Improved Share menu
You’ll find some adjustments to the Share menu (in the upper right-hand of your note.) Specifically…
- Separate tabs for Publish and Share: This change makes it easier to find and use the specific feature you need without any confusion.
- Invitees on the first page: You’ll find the section with all invitees and the ability to add/remove users in the first level of the Share menu for easier navigation.
With these changes, the menu will be more intuitive and user-friendly.
Revamped colors
And last, but certainly not least, with this product update, you’ll notice a few changes to the color scheme in HackMD. Along with the dark mode for View and Both, you now have access to new color themes for your text editor: NeoLight and NeoDark. You can enable those by clicking on the brush icon (🖌️) at the bottom of the editor.
These updates bring a more modern and cohesive look to the platform. We aim to enhance the overall aesthetic without compromising the simplicity and functionality you love.
